PFE Ice Reefer

This Intermountain injection plastic kit is a real gem – super fine details such as grab irons, rivets and ice hatches make this kit a must have for all O-scalers who model the old days. I have decided to build this one with open hatches as they were used in ventilation service, when products were not frozen but rather cooled by a stream of fresh air.

The ice bunker bulkhead has been 3D printed and is available for download: https://trainkitchen.com/intermountain-reefer/

All weathering has been carried out with oil paints. I’m still learning and I try to develop a signature technique.
