I recently discovered my love for early passenger diesels. The Alco PA / PB locomotives are a great subject to modelling. These classy units in their distictive livery can be considered as the essence of ‘American railroading’ and what comes to mind for us Europeans.
Since I model the UP and C&S, there is not much use for Santa Fe trains. However, I plan to incorporate a stretch of jointly owned trackage for both the AT&SF and the C&S and in fact this was reality for the lines between Denver and Pueblo, CO. So I am not completely lost here!
'Key' Quality
These are easily the finest brass diesel locomotives ever produced in O scale. Manufactured by Samhongsa of Korea and imported by Key Imports, these are a class on it’s own. I can’t wait to build in a Loksound 5 decoder with the ALCO 244 prime mover sounds!

Very nice model Sarah, I like them to especially the latest one from key they are owesome. I don’t have key at the moment but many overlands first run and the latest from overland second run painted. Sante Fe are the most desirable models, but also like the Rio Grande versions from key. I’m a big fan of those. Best regards, Edwin

Thanks Edwin, your collection is absolutely incredible! I’m still working on the layout room, all engines still shelf queens 🙂
Thanks, I’ve been looking for this for a long time
They are rare, but they show up from time to time! I wish you a successful hunt! 🙂
