The Precision Scale Co. Union Pacific 2-8-8-0 “Bull Moose” is maybe the rarest of all O scale models that can (not) be found. Only a hand full has been made. I was looking for this model for decades and suddenly she appeared in an online auction and I had to act. This is truly a gem, I will only start to work on the engine once I have gained enough skill and more experience with brass work and engineering. This is a simple articulated mallet type engine and it would be best to change the mechanism to two independend motors and two sound decoders. I feel a great responsibliy with this supter cool model that can be saied to be the holy grale to any UP modeller.

Well said, it truly is one of the best O scale Union Pacific steam locomotives ever made. The detail PSC put into this model surpassed & exceeded all expectations.
Twenty years later & nearly impossible to find, all three versions are superb models. Glad this one is in your collection.
Beautiful website, fantastic modeling, can’t wait to see more.
this one I had one’s is one of the best of PSC ever produced I do a lot in Union Pacific brass o scale models now what I do is started to weather them the last I bought is the Overland FEF 3 with the Sunset tender of course in brass
Yes, very rare indeed. Another one that is just too rare is the N&W 4-8-0, they went to many shortlines in later years and are near impossible to find!
